Soundtrack to Penny Harvest 1973

A revisionist art house film, Penny Harvest was directed by Russ Pilgrim and released in 1973.

It is the story of a painter Maggie Thompson (Julie Astor) who signs her artwork as Penny Harvest.
On the outside, she is part of the church-going congregation in the parish.
However, internally she is crippled by a heroin addiction that fuels her loneliness.
One day she falls in love with a man (Ken Brennon) in one of her paintings. She believes the man comes to life.
However, it is not clear if she is hallucinating or if this is real. Finally, she must decide between reality and dreams.
But in the end, she discovers that it is she, Maggie Thompson, who is in the painting.
The man is the artist and has been painting a landscape all along, called Penny Harvest.
